It's Time For Me to Shine

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Shelli and I love all things fashion and beauty related. I suppose that’s why I have always been drawn to projects and careers that allow me to help women feel beautiful. I have been a hairstylist for 10 years and owned my own salon for many of those years. My journey has been one step after another that have lead me right here to open Creme De La Creme Boutique.

The truth is, I have always loved shopping at boutiques. You always see the cutest clothes and unique pieces that you just don’t see in the big name stores. But, when you are a plus size gal the boutique experience can be a self-esteem killer. I would literally feel my heart sink when the shirt I was dying to purchase stopped at a size large, and probably fit like a small. I would end up buying jewelry or purses to hide the humiliation I felt of being left out of the awesomeness. The disappointment lingered and after a while I just gave up on boutiques all together.

The last straw was when I ordered 3 shirts on Facebook. They were my favorite college football team shirts and I was giddy that I found them in my size. I ordered the 3X and waited in anticipation for them to show up. When the box arrived I was so excited and ripped it open. I almost cried when I held up this 3X shirt that looked like it would fit a 10 year old girl. Long story short, I gave the shirts to my friend who wears a medium.

I knew I couldn’t be the only person who felt this way and that is where my idea was born. I made a decision to make sure all women could feel included. I would offer sizes that actually fit the way they are supposed to and if they don’t, I will be honest.

I am proof that you don’t have to be a size 2 to be noticed and make a statement on a daily basis. I want you to experience a life full of fun and fashion. Creme De La Creme is more than selling clothes. I want to share all of my tips and tricks to make you the rockstar in your own life. Hair, make up, fashion, beauty tips, confidence and the motivation to get out there. You will not only be seen; you will stand out.
